Would you ever wish you could handle certain formalities from the convenience of your own home? So, good news: you can fill out and submit a variety of forms and applications to the appropriate Polish authority on the internet. To do so, you must first gain access to the ePUAP online portal.
What are ePUAP (Profile Zaufany) and a trusted profile?
You can contact several public service departments in Poland via the Electronic Platform of Public Administration Services (ePUAP) without leaving your house. Simply fill out the required papers online and submit them using your Trusted Profile (Profil Zaufany), which validates your identity and serves as an electronic signature. Anyone with a PESEL number (even international citizens of Poland) can build a Trusted Profile for free, which grants them access to a variety of e-services offered through the ePUAP platform, including:
- Vehicle registration
- Polish ID card application form
- Electoral registration
- Business registration
- Birth registration
- Online Patient Services
- European Health Insurance Card application form
- “Family 500+” program application form
How can you build a trustworthy profile?
A trusted profile is created in two ways:
- You may do it using your Polish bank account – simply login into your online account and follow the directions of your bank (ING, Inteligo, Millennium, Bank Pekao, PKO BP, Santander and mBank). To validate your identification, a once-in-time verification code is delivered to your phone. Please remember that to build a Trusted Profile, you have to supply the bank with your PESEL number. You may be additionally required, on rare instances, to come and confirm your registration with your bank in person.
- You may alternatively fill out a form at pz.gov.pl/pz/register (in Polish only) and submit a one-time verification number emailed to your phone. Following the submission of all required data, you will have 14 days to confirm your registration at a local "confirmation point" (the addresses can be looked up here).
How long does it last?
A Trusted Profile is valid for three years and can be extended before that time.
