One Year English Language Program
Course description
Who For?
This program is designed for international students who want to study at our partner University the next academic year and spend the current academic year learning English.
The course's goal is to prepare participants to pursue English studies. The course focuses on all aspects of language learning (listening comprehension, reading comprehension, grammar, speaking, and writing). The first section of the course teaches learners how to utilize English in everyday circumstances. The second half of the course comprises a progressive introduction of terminology related to the chosen university major - which is required to comprehend lectures and participate actively in sessions.
What skills and information will you gain?
The course places main stress on acquiring the skill of correct speaking as well as listening and reading comprehension of simple academic texts. It also includes classes in writing and drafting various short written forms.
Starting with the second term, course participants may attend selected lectures in their university courses as guest students.
Handbooks, additional materials, and the teaching methods have all been tailored to prepare the participants to take the IELTS exam.
The course also offers workshops in soft skills, such as negotiations, collaboration, and acceptance-refusal, which are organized cyclically twice a month.
Teaching Staff
The course is conducted by qualified and experienced teachers of English.
Course Completion
The course ends with a progress test conducted at our partner University or with taking IELTS at one of Warsaw exam centers. If a participant does not achieve the B2 language skill level required to take up studies, we are offering a two-month English course.
