There are two types of visas available in Poland: Schengen visas (type C) and National visas (type D), both of which allow you to travel within the Schengen area for up to 90 days every 180 days. The only distinction is that the Schengen visa is only valid for a limited time. You must leave after 90 days, and the national type of visa is a long-term one (for example for work or studies). You are going to be successful. You'll be able to stay in Poland for up to a year, and you'll be able to travel to other Schengen nations for 90 days out of every 180 days.
