A survey commissioned by the Ministry of family, labour and social policy, contained the annual Occupational Barometer, which provides for Poland short-term labour market forecasts. A number of industries in Poland have been faced with a growing talent shortage in 2020, according to the latest study, due to a range of social, economic and environmental factors, including low unemployment, undesired working conditions (for instance, low pay, weekends) or reluctance to undertake such professions. The following jobs are forecast by experts to be the most difficult to complete by 2020:

MOST IN-DEMAND JOBS IN POLAND

Construction: construction workers, steel fixers and concrete placers, sheet metal workers, roofers, pavers, carpenters, masons and plasterers, HVAC/Gasfitters, heavy equipment operators, finishing process engineers;

Manufacturing: machine tool operators, woodworkers, and carpenters, welders, machinists, electricians, electromechanical engineers, apparel workers;

Transport: bus drivers, LGV drivers, tractor unit drivers;

Catering: cooks, bakers;

Healthcare: doctors, nurses, and midwives, physiotherapists, massage therapists, and carers;

Services: hairdressers;

Finance: bookkeepers and accountants, especially professionals with foreign language skills.

With respect to low-demand workers, the survey found that economists are the only "superplus job" in Poland. This means that there are more employees available in the industry than currently.

In an intelligent way of location and with a wider range of workforces from low skill occupations to information technology functions such as analysts, testers, graphic designers, database managers and programmers, Warsaw has become the most diverse workforce in the world.
