It's a waste of time to be stuck at the office when the days grow longer and the weather improves. The top spots for active enjoyment in southern Poland are listed below.

Zwardoń

Even as national parks attract a large number of visitors, tourists frequently overlook landscape parks. The area surrounding the Żywiec Landscape Park is well worth a visit. Zwardoń and Rachowiec are two peaks in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in southern Poland, about 40 kilometers south of Bielsko-Biała. The route is approximately 11 kilometers long and takes less than 4 hours to complete, depending on the pace. We can expect both local asphalt roads and unpaved paths through meadows along the route. In Zwardoń, we begin at 867 meters above sea level. We pass the former shelter in less than a quarter of an hour. We continue straight ahead to Skalanka once we reach the point where the trail turns left.

A nearby bench offers a spectacular view of the mountain passes. You can see the queen of the Beskids, Babia Góra, for example. Rachowiec, a nearby peak, is our target. A viewpoint at the top of the mountain rewards hikers for their efforts. The views are breathtaking and must be photographed. The panorama primarily depicts the peaks of the Silesian Beskids, but in clear weather, the distant Tatra peaks can also be seen.

Fortress through cycle route

In the Podkarpackie Voivodship in south-eastern Poland, there is an impressive thematic route. It is a unique opportunity to spend time in touch with nature because it uses almost exclusively local public and forest roads. The bike path that runs along the forts of the Przemyśl Fortress allows you to learn more about this unique set of military facilities while also inspiring you to spend a few active days in the beautiful, yet natural Podkarpacie region.

Fort San Rideau, shrouded in mysterious and ominous legend, is one of the interesting objects. According to witnesses, a Russian prisoner of war was discovered in a buried room in 1923 after spending eight years in the fort's basement. The Fortress Cycle Route can be combined with the Green Velo route to extend your cycling vacation in eastern Poland.

Canoeing in Barycza's

Barycza is a 139-kilometer-long river in western Poland. It's a tributary of the Oder, the river that divides us from Germany. The journey down this beautiful river begins in Sułów, 20 kilometers south of Leszno in the Greater Poland Voivodeship.

Because of its small dips, Barycz is not a river that requires special skills. As a result, it is an excellent destination for families or inexperienced travelers.

It's a little-known river, but the Barycz Valley is one of Europe's most valuable ecosystems, meandering through meadows, forests, ponds, and lakes. What's important is that the trip's duration can be tailored to your abilities. The section ending in the park with the camp of the castle and palace complex in Żmigród is worth considering. You can combine rafting with sightseeing this way.

Roller Path

Katowice in the Silesian Voivodeship has planned a special offer for all those who enjoy rollerblading. The route is located in the city's south, near the Katowice-Muchowice airport. One of its most significant benefits is the illumination put along the entire path. The surface is paved, and a pedestrian path runs alongside it. It is a unique weekend choice for individuals who value spending time active because of its proximity to ponds and urban greenery.
