A recent Devire survey indicated that Polish people like to work in foreign companies.

More than a third of professionals polled by the recruiting firm Devire indicated they would prefer to work for a corporation (35%) over a medium-sized company (20%), a small business (8%), or a startup (2%). (7 percent of responses). Only 3% of individuals polled stated they would pursue a freelancing profession, which is half as many as in 2019-20. The pandemic-induced crisis, as Michał Młynarczyk, CEO of Devire, pointed out, could have led more professionals to seek stable, long term career opportunities, usually linked to big businesses: "Large companies have well defined organizational structures, are more transparent and offer greater job stability than start-ups or smaller businesses."

The interviewees were also invited to discuss their views on foreign capital companies. It turns out that almost one-third of Polish professionals would be in favor of a position with a foreign company instead of a Polish one - this year 28%, compared to 21% in 2019-20. 11% (12% the previous year) of Poles would elect a Polish company whilst 62% indicated they did not mind the country of origin of the company (5 percentage points less than last year).
