Description

The Master of Science (MSc) in Data Science aims to introduce you to the methods, techniques and tools that enable you to extract valuable insights from data and turn them into practical knowledge. Graduates are professionals who are well prepared in such areas as quantitative methods (e.g. Statistics for Data Science), Data Science Programming Languages (R, Python), Data Mining and Machine Learning algorithms as well as the newest environments for data storage, data analytics, and visualization. You will also gain knowledge of a range of concepts such as computational thinking, problem-solving, programming, data visualization and project management. Thanks to this, graduates can easily follow the whole Data Science Process from formulating the right questions to data in the context of a problem that is being solved, through data preparation, analysis (models building, verification, and validation), visualization of insights, and presentation of findings. PCAP– Python Certified Associate Programmer and Microsoft’s MCSE: Data Management and Analytics certificates are also available in the program. Our teaching staff are practitioners and experts who are already successfully working in the industry.

 Teaching And Listening 

The programme focuses on a practical approach to teaching, reflected in the practice-oriented coursework. Active student learning in the form of laboratories, seminars, workshops and problem-based projects are designed to engage your interest and enable you to become autonomous and continuous learners. Assessment methods include projects, reports, presentations, skill tests, as well as time-keyed in-class tests and exams. Classes are held on weekdays in small cohorts to ensure that you receive the full support to get the best out of the programme and increase the effectiveness of the educational process.
