Consular Information Center

CIK provides answers to general questions regarding consular matters: passport, loss of documents, Polish citizenship, marital status, and other general legal matters, by calling:  + 49 30 7001 48 00

The phone is open on business days in Poland from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Warsaw time. Contact with CIK is also possible on non-working days in Germany, which are also business days in Poland. In cases requiring direct contact with the consul, CIK employees will advise on how to proceed.

IMPORTANT! The CIK does not provide information on visa matters and on matters already initiated at the consular office.

In urgent situations requiring urgent consul intervention, it is possible to contact the following telephone number: + 49 30 7001 4801

IMPORTANT!  The emergency telephone is not an information telephone. Contact is possible only in random cases requiring the immediate intervention of the consul (e.g. accidents, threats to the life and/or health of Polish citizens residing in Germany). The telephone is open outside the hours of telephone availability of the consular office, and on non-working days in Poland and Germany - 24 hours a day.

Correspondence

Please be advised that your questions are answered promptly. The Consular and Polish Diaspora Department of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Berlin informs that it does not respond to correspondence (also received by e-mail) that does not meet the requirements set out in Art. 63 § 2 of the Act of 14 June 1960 Code of Administrative Procedure (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 2096; of 2019, items 60, 730, 1133, as amended).

The content of the correspondence should contain at least an indication of:

  • the person (name and surname) from whom it comes;
  • the person's address;
  • the subject of the case to which it relates.
