Student financial support
Special assistance grant
The most important advantage of the student loans is that they do not have to be repaid during the study period, and the interest for this period is paid by the Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego with funds from the state budget. The payment of instalments does not start until two years after graduation. The loaners enjoy full freedom in spending the funds. This is a preferential loan with a very low-interest rate. Student loans may be disbursed during the entire period of study, for 10 months per year. It is to be repaid back in a period of time twice as long as the disbursement period. Ask your bank for the details of the loan.
The Rector’s scholarship
It is worth being a top student… The Rector’s Scholarship for the best students will be granted to a student who will obtain a high average grade during the given year of studies or who will have scientific, artistic or sporting achievements in international or national competitions, but who will also take an active part in conferences organized by the university and actively participate in cultural events organized by the WWSB or the university’s partners, as well as will care for and assist foreigners starting their first year of study with us.
Social bursary
A social bursary is awarded to a student in a difficult financial situation. Social bursaries may be applied for by students of all years of full-time and part-time undergraduate and graduate studies, whose monthly income per one member of the family does not exceed a specified amount. This amount shall be determined in accordance with the rules laid down in the Act of 28 November 2003 on Family Benefits. A full-time student in a difficult financial situation may receive a social bursary in the increased amount to allow for living in a student dormitory or a facility other than a student dormitory if the daily commuting from the place of residence to the University would make impossible or significantly impeded his or her studying.
Special financial assistance
Special financial assistance may be granted to a student twice per academic year. It is granted to persons who found themselves temporarily in a difficult financial situation as a result of some misfortune.
Student Self-Government
The Student Self-Government of the Warsaw University of Business is a body representing the student community in the process of the University operations. The role of the Student Self-Government is defined by the Statute of the Warsaw University of Business and the Act 2.0. The main task of the Student Self-Government is, apart from representing the interests of the students, to give opinions on the development plans of the University, to participate in the Senate of the University and to co-decide on the distribution of funds from the subvention of the Ministry of Education and Science.
We invite students to take an active part in the operations of the Student Self-Government. Apart from gaining experience in a student organisation, it allows you to gain additional points which are important in the process of awarding the Rector’s Scholarship.
Student organisations
Students of the Warsaw University of Business have the opportunity to associate in student fellowships, clubs and associations. The aim of each of these organisations is primarily to develop the interests of the students, to broaden their perspectives and to fulfil their talents. The student life of the WWSB University organised around student organisations includes not only conferences and seminars, but also integration trips under the patronage of the European Parliament to Brussels, Strasbourg, Paris or Amsterdam, organised by the Academic Club of Management Students “The Citizen of Europe” [“Europejczyk”].
